gB. 0 Posted February 24, 2014 Took these last year before I sold my DSN 025 and never got around to posting. Here's a few side by side photos with the gen 025 (E series). Gen has the rubber strap on in all pics. Noticeable differences are the thicker lug/case and the extra tall bezel markers on the rep.
ramliver1 2 Posted February 24, 2014 Wow, super nice gB! I'm eye balling a gen E series on ebay for 6400.

dalboy 2 Posted February 24, 2014 Given the price difference they are not a million miles apart .. Yes there are a few tell apart from the lugs , but still not painful , thanks for the review . great pics too. Dal.

PrDubis 0 Posted March 13, 2014 Crown is too low on dsn I sold mine because it's an obvious tell and because it's really difficult to set time. Look for an ultimate PAM 199 if you are really looking for a submersible rep
gB. 0 Posted March 14, 2014 Look for an ultimate PAM 199 if you are really looking for a submersible rep Sounds like sounds advice. I have one that Vac lumed to look all aged tritium patina that I may be selling soon.
ALE7575 24 Posted March 14, 2014 (edited) Many thanks gB to take these good comparison pics and share your thoughts At first sight this rep seems very good and maybe without a side by side comparo, it would get a better evaluation. Making a more detailed review some flaws are evident I will try to summarize all detected previously and will add some other that I have seen. - LUG shape is clearly wrong (and really ugly) - Bezel shape is wrong, with wider knurling and sharper transition edge. - Markers on bezel are really taller and number fonts are bigger and a bit wrong. - Black minute markers on bezel between 12 and 3 are a little shiny in rep and completely matt in gen - Pearl is bigger and has wrong colour - Dial dots have thicker metallic contour - Caseback engravings are good enough but dots at the sides of OFFICINE PANERAI are bigger and TITANIUM is placed in a different position, closer to the next dot - CG seems good enough but lever shape is different and CG pin is smaller - Crown is clearly placed lower I don't know why the crown is placed lower because I suppose the rep is fitted with an A7750 movement and the gen with OPIII, which is based in a Valjoux7750 too. Maybe someone can chime in Interesting review by gB. I will include this link in PAM GUIDE for DSN PAM 025 D-series Thanks gB again ALE Edited March 14, 2014 by ALE7575
