HeavyKrush 16 Posted May 31, 2014 Anyone know the thread size as it didn't quite fit my case last time? I'd like to get the proper tap and re-thread it.
J!m 289 Posted June 5, 2014 (edited) It is an odd size used by Rolex- the reps usually use the "standard" metric thread. Ran into that with my 5512 project, but the 1680 went right in... As far as I know, the tap has to come from a watch supplier house, not the industrial suppliers, because the industrial suppliers only have the standard pitch. But after all that I dont have the right size and pitch handy to tell you. PS you can't re-tap the case, because you will rip all the threads out- they are the same diameter but different pitch.
