which watch - for motorsport / racing enthusiast

Recommended Posts

tomeeee

i am looking for watches related to car racing / motorsport etc.

i have looked at TAG and CHOPARD (sorry not sure of the spelling)

i like the TAG Monaco but don't think the replica's are good enough.

any idea's, it must be a very good replica.

i have a TAG F1 on its way from Robert @ PrestigeWatchCom.

How about an Audemars Piguet Offshore Reubens Barrichello II?

Its a gorgeous watch and very sporty. Its also one of the best quality reps out there:

Here's Silverspeed's one - and no-one can show off the assets of a good watch like Silver!!:

I paid $350 for a Monaco 24 automatic (barloworld 2009) from one of our dealers.

it looks ok, especially the movement.... however, the watch loses nearly 15 minutes a day.

and that's if I put it in a winder at night and wear it daily, which I have been for a week straight.

shame...

it's beautiful.

I actually had 2 girls on a motorcycle honk at me at a red light to tell me my watch was cool last night.

- edit - the only thing with this piece is that everyone with an ounce of watch knowledge will surely know it's a rep. the gen is $10k and very limited production.

I don't care, the watch is awesome.

my $85 Carrera Auto hasn't missed a minute in over a month and a half.....

:D

i agree that the Daytona is the most "automotive" of watches in my opinion.

just for kicks, i googled "racing watches", and also "yacht racing watches", and there are a bazilion cool ones that came up. check it out..... http://www.google.com/images?hl=en&q=r...280&bih=581

It should be fairly straightforward to regulate the Tag if you can get it to a rep-friendly watchsmith
