boneyjr 1 Posted March 14, 2014 I just grabbed the ultimate version of this model from Trusty time and fitted a gen insert. Looking pretty good. The lume is strong and the colors are perfect for summer. This will most likely end up on a nato strap.

simonbolivar 1 Posted March 14, 2014 Beauty! Definitely a classic... Was it just plug and play with the gen insert, or did you have to do any sanding?
boneyjr 1 Posted March 14, 2014 Beauty! Definitely a classic... Was it just plug and play with the gen insert, or did you have to do any sanding? I didn't do it myself.. Watchsmith did it, and I believe sanding was required.
simonbolivar 1 Posted March 14, 2014 The fit looks amazing in the pics. The best 16710 rep I've ever seen. Enjoy.
Vetnek 0 Posted March 18, 2014 When I see this I can't wait for mine to arrive! I do have a question.. Is it this one: http://www.ttw888.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=1_5&products_id=10346 The reason why I'm asking is because on the QC pics I received, my clasp looks different than yours.. fatarms 7,825 Posted March 18, 2014 Pretty sweet looking, I have a 16750 from 1983 and wore it for my wedding My only suggestion would be (and this is only if you wanted to have this done, most people you will probably run into won't know it) is to have the rehaut sanded smooth. As far as I know, and of the models I've seen for the 16710, there is no rehaut engraving. Other than that, it looks awesome. Enjoy it http://www.gmtmasterhistory.com/gmt-master_ref_16710.html
Pob 73 Posted March 18, 2014 Great watch mate and putting it on nato would be mistake IMO

Daywatch 4 Posted March 21, 2014 It´s a beauty. Like it as it is on bracelet and on those NATO´s. Would leave the rehault engraved, unless the handstack is changed too. "Everybody" meanwhile knows it´s probably not gen if it doesn´t have it....so far as confusion goes Nobody will start looking at the Year it was made. This is really nice. Will buy the same in coke-version someday. Do You maybe have a picture comparison with the insert it came with? These Paul Hewitt Nato´s are well-priced and look great too for Summer:

And the red, white and blue NATO is just a little too patriotic for my liking
