Eiderdaus 0 Posted September 1, 2010 shouldn´t have "ultimate" reps rolex rep movements ?
Ska 11 Posted September 1, 2010 Nope, the Rolex clone movements are shite.
Eiderdaus 0 Posted September 1, 2010 not all my friend, i believe you mean that stuff where a plate is glued on the rotor ;-) but there are excellent 3135 Asias on the market and to the common kunderstanding should have an ultimate rep the copy movement. nothing against your beautiful watch ska, don´t get me wrong, i am trying to find out why dealers are using ultimate when its not the common understanding of ultimate rep. greg_r 83 Posted September 1, 2010 Eider: the so-called copy 3135 movements are junk. They're just cosmetically modified clone ETAs and reliability has been sacrificed for the 'look'. They're not even that convincing - anyone who knows their Rolex movements will spot it as a fake in a second. Stick to ETA or clone. Will save yourself some money and improve reliability by a considerable amount....

Eiderdaus 0 Posted September 1, 2010 no, the problem with eta is that due to the height it will force a wrong crown position, thats fact, you can only avoid that by using a ladyies movement as v2 does. and the so called gen etas are not gen since eta is not producing golden movements anymore. chinese manufactures bought the ground plate and finish this with chinese spare parts. all the new "gen" eta in gold are such items. there are only few old gen etas in gold on the market and you will guess that this cannot be in all the new reps ;-) but not all the 3135 copies are bad. most of them, i would agree since they glue the plate on the rotor and the gue will drill out the screw and the screws will end up in the movement. and there are more expensive 3135 movements out there, not from china but from thailand. Ska 11 Posted September 1, 2010 Even the Thai ones are notoriously bad. The best dealers here will actively discourage their customers from buying them even though they can get more profit which speaks volumes. Its also worth noting that the case used is the same for both movements and in terms of authenticity the Clone 3135 isn't good enough to fool an expert any more than a gold ETA. No review or comparison I've read on RWG, RWG2, RWI or RG has ever brought the 3135 clone out on top of the 2836-2 (Swiss or Clone) Until its improved, IMHO its a waste of cash. Besides I'm not going to be opening the case-back for anyone except my tame watchmaker (which is now Brightlight!) so lets face it, I'm not going to pull the wool over those eyes even if I covered the movement in diamonds and porn! Americano 0 Posted September 2, 2010 Watchdog: ignore all this 'noobfactory' nonsense. It's all marketing speak anyhow. The only real difference in BK's is the datewheel (which is better) and the fact that he does some QC. You pays yer money and you takes yer choice. I'd also check out PrestigeWatchCo's $249 version, which is just about identical to this one here, but with an Asian high-beat movement rather than Swiss. The only bad thing I find is that www.PrestigeWatchCo. com is under construction.
gB. 0 Posted September 2, 2010 The only bad thing I find is that www.PrestigeWatchCo. com is under construction. This is where you want to look for PWC sales listings. http://www.replica-watches-guide.com/forum...hp?showforum=

Americano 0 Posted September 17, 2010 This is the basis of BK. But in his hands becomes something exceptional.
Ska 11 Posted September 17, 2010 Why? All you get in top of this is a new datewheel and a Clark crystal. (and an extra $200 on the tag) No offense to BK but the pearls on both of his recent DSSD sales posted here have been well off. Mary's QC is outstanding and she does proper waterproof testing so tbh what's the point in parting with the extra cash?

MJC 0 Posted August 5, 2011 Quick question... BK's is suppose to be the best, he's awesome to deal with, and I got my Deepsea FAST! But why does this piece from Mary look so much better in quality overall???? My bracelet feels so cheap it's not even funny, the rolex crown on the diver's extension isn't even engraved, it's printed, and the print on on the clast "STEELINOX" and such looks pretty terrible as well, not to mention the bracelet feels hollow and a little stiff Not too happy Overall it looks great though
