JerAnt 0 Posted February 13, 2016 Really like that image Sir. Thanks! I used to view taking watch pics to post as a necessary evil - now I'm finding it's actually quite fun. I'm going to have to upgrade my camera game though - neither my years old Canon cyber-shot or iPhone 5 are cutting it any more.
Baldrick 1 Posted February 16, 2016 Very nice close-up shot of a very clean and well defined dial..... I'm going to have to upgrade my camera game though - neither my years old Canon cyber-shot or iPhone 5 are cutting it any more. There comes a point when you realise that, no matter how good or how many pixels a smartphone has, the small lens elements just can't compete with larger glass, no more apparent than when trying to get as much light as possible thru' the lens and as high a definition as possible with absence of grain, not to mention the total lack of manual control................great for selfies / snaps and capturing instantaneous memories.....not great for much else !!! Breguet dial by Galaxy Note in 'low-light'.....OK...but won't do...ultimately.
bilbobagginz 0 Posted February 17, 2016 May i suggest to use camera and lens details with the pics? It would be nice
Baldrick 1 Posted February 17, 2016 How so.....Samsung Galaxy Note doesn't give you those details......and unless you have the exact same DSLR and lens as I or any other member has.....it's not very useful !!!
JerAnt 0 Posted February 17, 2016 Very nice close-up shot of a very clean and well defined dial..... Thanks! I think I got a little lucky with that shot, but the encouragement will keep me going. Yes, I bumped into that for sure. I'm at the point where lack of manual control over even basic settings is bugging me - and I love the promise of point-and-shoot - so I'm on a camera hunt now. MAJ75 922 Posted February 18, 2016 That is a super shot, love the way the textures on the dial are captured in such great detail & the depth/complexity of the movement is visible..............
