gherrmann19 0 Posted March 27, 2014 Hello all Looking at picking up a super ocean abyss but can not decide if I should go with the chrono or not. I love chrono watches but also like the simplicity of the non chrono. I love my SOSF but would like to add another chrono to my collection. Please share your opinions. Thanks! headhunt3r 0 Posted March 27, 2014 Definitely non-chrono for me.
Left Coast Guy 24 Posted March 27, 2014 I'm in the same boat as you buddy. From my research, there isn't really a good version of the non-chrono below $250. So if its going to cost me $270 to get the non-chrono and $320 to get the chrono, I'm probably going with the chrono. Maybe in terms of looks, it just comes down to whether or not you want sticks or numbers on the dial. I'm leaning toward the chrono
nev848 0 Posted March 27, 2014 Just plain and simple for me....
Khronos 1,339 Posted March 28, 2014 I'd say that the Asian ETA in non-chrono is much more reliable than the 7750 used in chrono version.
DG335 0 Posted March 28, 2014 Non chrono and 42mm yellow No debates
Aviator 1 Posted March 28, 2014 I'm a Breitling fan but I'm going to need some time probably, before I will start to like these "new generation" Breitling models, that look quite funny to me. But If I was in the situation, I would pick the non chrono one. It just looks better, the chrono one looks like a "toy" to me... Or It's just the new design I don't like... Lt. Dan 0 Posted March 28, 2014 Non, more reliable.
<RJ> 0 Posted March 28, 2014 I'd say that the Asian ETA in non-chrono is much more reliable than the 7750 used in chrono version. Always is and always will be statistically. My stats that is

plankton 1 Posted March 30, 2014 Both movements are reliable, the chrono will never be as accurate as the a 2836-2 and you can swap it out for $125, 7750 will run $400 or so. I have both and really like the ability to have the accuracy. When I say accuracy I'm only talking 3-8 seconds per day difference.
nofitstate 27 Posted March 30, 2014 I'd buy a yellow 44 non chrono, but as there are non left that TDs can source (though Toro did have Swiss movement ones a few weeks ago) it's a non starter really.
