What are interesting to you? Poljot or Strela?

There are new models created based on legendary chronographs. Reprinting has small differences, but really to gain them. As for a retro it is difficult to find them and appearance will be average quality.

Thanks mate.

$447 is not exactly cheap, I think I'll look for an original Poljot or Strela. Any idea how much they go for?

Well you have three Strela Makers:

Strela as brand and model, even tho they are crafted in Germany, those goes for around $780

http://www.strela-watch.de/

You have Strelas reissues in 42mm such as the above made by Sturmanskie, goes for around the same price

http://aviatorwatch.ru/en/navigator/list.php?SECTION_ID=114

And you have the classic Strela by Poljot in 39mm going for around $500 this ones are great equally workhorses with Poljot 3133 movement

but the finishing is not up to par with the options above. Still, I think I'm getting one.

Anyway in my opinion the guy to deal with Russian Watches is Julian

BTW If you have not noticed already, Russian watches are very very complex regarding models, makers, their marketing and stuff

they are just weird lol

I wrote an article about their story, very interesting, don't forget to use the google translate option

Thanks! This interesting research. Unfortunately my experience says that to find the original weeds high quality and it is the cheapest way difficult.

Got this out of a watch lot via ebay. Date wheel is stuck but the movement still keeps great time.

The military contract numbers are engraved on the back case too.

Hey yeah it is the beautiful Восток, the last release, a limit series. I too love the Восток but probably I will leave them soon - I will offer for sale.

I have a Vostok Tank I use as a complete beater, yard work, swimming, all around trashing it and it keeps chugging, gains about 45 seconds a day which is fine for what the watch is. I really like the vintage 60 vibe of the watch, it definitely has a cool factor. I ended up taking some Scotch Brite to the bezel and brought it down to brass, I really like the look of it, best $45.00 I've ever owned that's for sure.
