How to WIND a Breitling Navitimer????

Hi there!

 

 

I recently bought a Breitling Navitimer from JOshua, u can see it at this Post, http://www.replica-watches-guide.com/forum...?showtopic=7464

 

First i didnt know how to wind a Automatic Watch,... i know im a noob if it comes to Watches lol!

 

But after reading some guides etc i tried winding it CLOCKWISE without unscrewing the crown. when u pull it 1 time, it will adjust the Date, second Pull is the Time. So my Question is: i didnt pull the crown out, just winding clockwise like 20 - 30 times! is this right? Because, the Asian 7750 movement inside has STOPPED completely, no matter how hard i shake it or wind!!!

 

By the way, the Watch is 3 days old! Very ironic or? Talking about new the Quality control from PErfect clones (josh).

 

Is there any1 out that can post short video about winding techniq? Iv got this Watch:

Well, with reference to your post in the other thread:

Today i went with my Navitimer to a local non authentical watch Dealer - the Store had some common brands such as Diesel, D & G and Raymond well as

 

the most exp Watch - to get my SS strap shortened, she was holding it for 2 sec, then she response with: " Im sorry, we dont fix replica Watches "

 

i was like WTF, how this Bitch notice it so fast.!:! I acted surprised, told her i bought it from Ebay and my next step would b sueing the Dealer ^^

 

also, i asked her how she noticed it this quick, she told me that the lack of AR was suspicious, bcuz it had only 1 AR on the inside.... and the Steelstrap on

 

the real Breitling is much thicker and smooth to hold.

 

I thanked her for the advice and left := )

You are just asking for trouble if you do.

 

Kudos to her for having a clue though - without wishing to be too derogatory, the female sales assistants are usually hired to look pretty rather than actually know anything...

I am confused by this post.

 

It is a screw down crown but you didn't unscrew it? So you just brute-forced it clockwise until it moved, rather than undoing it anti-clockwise until it moved freely then pulling it out gently? That would mean that all the threads in the crown/tube are stripped, and you won't be able to screw it down.

 

Also, the 7750 should not be handwound in an ideal world. The cogs inside the movement are only delicate, and this movement really doesn't like being manually wound.

 

You should have placed it face down in the palm of your hand and swirled the watch anti-clockwise, which would spin the rotor inside and start the watch after it had enough stored energy in the mainspring.

Either way, I'm afraid that it sounds as if you have fucked the watch rather than it being any inherent problem with Josh's QC...

By the way, the store was not breitling authoriced... just some Small jewllery store with minor brands! And the female wasnt a sales assistance, but rather the owner of the store as i can judge := )

Dan, I bought the 7750 28800 Navi from Josh a few months back. Its a pull out crown so you don't need to unscrew it first in order to use its functionality.

 

Pops out one click for the date and another to change the time.

Seems like she knows her stuff then!

 

You should be able to unscrew the crown anticlockwise and it should then be able to be pulled out gently, away from the case. While it's screwed down it should not move out or clockwise unless you are unscrewing it, in the same way that a screw-on bottle cap seals a bottle unless you undo it.

 

Hopefully your watchsmith will be able to fix it. Please keep us posted :(
