shedlock2000 0 Posted May 2, 2014 Hi all, I've spoken to Katt and a few others about repairing a DSSD, and neither Katt nor some (off forum) repairers can help. I bought, two years ago, a Thai-bought DSSD with a solid case, good crystal and ceramic, and bracelet. However, the bezel failed to ratchet very soon after I bought it - and I accidentally ripped it off when I got my hand caught in an engine. I saved the bezel retention spring and bezel and straightened and replaced the spring, but since then the timing of the movement has been all over the place and occasionally stalls. The bezel is still true and straight - unmarked, really - but the retention grooves and bezel rotation mechanism are damaged/lost. I'd like to find someone who can: Refit a new bezel retention spring, bezel ratchet spring and toggle, Replace the dial with superlume and markers, And time or replace the movement (unknown, but probably not the best). Once fixed, it'll never be a showpiece, but the water resistance is ok, and the case is solid - so worth touching up for a second innings as a beater watch. I've just ordered a BK SUBc, so would like something to wear and leave the Sub for best! Share this post Link to post
