Charleston 0 Posted September 1, 2010 Now the question is, Do I go with the DSD or the Ceramic GMT? Is the DSD a 39mm?
dingle 57 Posted September 1, 2010 Now the question is, Do I go with the DSD or the Ceramic GMT? Is the DSD a 39mm? DSSD is 43 MM
KBH 7 Posted September 1, 2010 You better be over 200 lbs and like big watches if you're getting the DSSD.
Ska 11 Posted September 1, 2010 Mary is excellent!! You won't be disappointed. And if you want a DSSD - get one!
Charleston 0 Posted September 1, 2010 You better be over 200 lbs and like big watches if you're getting the DSSD. Ahhh sounds too big, ok well I am going to put in my order! Thanks!
Ska 11 Posted September 1, 2010 It's not! I've got wrists smaller than 7 inches in diameter and I'm 5' 8". DSSD suits me fine!
KBH 7 Posted September 1, 2010 Here's a Sub and a DSSD: Not that it's so wide, it's just so damn thick.
Charleston 0 Posted September 2, 2010 So does marys Ceramic GMT II look spot on? Sorry for so many question, just a big time noob Thanks
KBH 7 Posted September 2, 2010 Gmt IIc is an excellent rep. One of the best, I think. The only main difference is the placement of the GMT hand at the bottom of the stack where the gen is above the hour hand. But who's going to notice that except us watch weirdos. Oh, and also the gen has AR on the cyclops while the rep doesn't. Another very small difference that annoys some people.
vonGluberschmidt 0 Posted September 2, 2010 you will be hard pressed to find anyone on here that isn't happy with Mary. the quality of her reps is second to none. she got a BR03-92 for me - the movement wasn't as smooth as she liked, so she sent it back and got me another one. it hasn't lost a second in over a month. sooooooooo pleased. my Timewalker is the same. awesome. I bought reps from another dealer on here, good service but the reps quality is ass. 2 failures so far.
Charleston 0 Posted September 2, 2010 (edited) Final and last question guys! How will these weigh compared to the Gen (correct term?)? And I am guessing I just order from the website? Edited September 2, 2010 by Charleston
mrtepax 0 Posted September 2, 2010 (edited) the weights should be ok, gram more, gram less. To order, you should e-mail her and then she will tell you how to place it. with mary you won't be disappointed at all BTW, the DSSD is freaking thick!!! Ö_Ö Edited September 2, 2010 by mrtepax
trailboss99 996 Posted September 2, 2010 I have 6.5" wrists and the DSSD fits me. I ended up putting it on a strap but that was just because I have too many bracelet watches and not enough on straps. In fact I have a custom strap on the way for it now. To order from Mary, send her a PM or email, the website is not really for forum folk, we pay less. Col. tah 0 Posted February 15, 2011 Sorry to be such a noob but I've seen lots of references to "Mary" here. Which dealer is this? Also saw a thread yesterday about a day-date from Mary in SS with blue face, looks like a Platinum Presidential. Can't find that thread today to save my life. Any help out there? tah 0 Posted February 22, 2011 Thanks Fiddo..... Ordered the Day-Date from Mary, I've gotten the QC pictures and approved it to ship. Anyone hesitating about this dealer needs to just go ahead and do it. She was the most prompt, courteous and professional person to deal with you could ever ask for. Just one word of advice, contact her throught their website for faster service, not sure they "monitor" the gmail box like they do the web mail.
MikeMcNair 0 Posted February 22, 2011 mary is the best of the best (her and Robert from prestigewatchco) you cannot go wrong. oh, and get the DSSD, it is one of 4 watches i have gotten from Mary and it is UNREAL. BTW, i am 6'1", ~ 200 lbs, and have pretty thin wrists. this watch is SUPERB. (search for DSSD "80-420 dollars, why? " thread, you will see ska's review in there and be very impressed. i'm a pic whore, so here's some eye candy..... (PS: EVERY pic is a crappy iPhone pic, so they don't necessarily do the watch justice)
