COSc gen vs tinkered with REP

I have both a REP and a Gen Omega Seamaster pro 300. Since I love to tinker, I adjusted the REP by trial and error. I wouldn't dream of messing with the original. Anyhow, the REP now keeps better time than the GEN. After 3 days, the Rep is just 1 second fast. Well within COSC specs for less than10 percent of the cost. I just wonder how long it can stay this way.

That's very good obviously, but many reps work very well, especially if they are serviced. Some of them have Swiss mov'ts which can last

 

for years - even the Asians can keep excellent time.
