LightGeek 25 Posted May 29, 2014 I don't know why it's v2.
LightGeek 25 Posted May 29, 2014 Terrible white balance on the workbench. It's open because the dial is slightly skewed.
LightGeek 25 Posted May 29, 2014 I haven't seen a movement holder tab like this.
J!m 289 Posted May 29, 2014 (edited) What do you mean? It's just a long tab to cross over the spacer because it is a large case. Edited May 29, 2014 by J!m
LightGeek 25 Posted May 29, 2014 If you have ultra tiny wrists like mine you'll need to remove the spring bar here to remove the last link.

J!m 289 Posted May 29, 2014 The othr way around that is the SOH method- movement is connected to the spacer and the short tabs go from the spacer to the case. Three tabs in the SOH. While you are in there poking around, I might add another shorter tab on top of the long one to stiffen it a bit so the movement/dial does not come away from the rehaut on a good impact. LightGeek 25 Posted May 29, 2014 I'm sure the gen is crisper Is that a micro pube or scratch on the 6?
J!m 289 Posted May 29, 2014 This thing is pretty damn sick. Those are 10X loupe type photos and it still looks pretty damn good. I might have to get me one of these...
LightGeek 25 Posted May 29, 2014 Looks like I need to realign the hands... And the dial... And the bezel.

J!m 289 Posted May 29, 2014 How are the hands at midnight? I usually overlap them and check the minute hand is bang-on 12, and I have the same amount of hour hand peeking from either side of the minute hand. Mike likes to align the hour hand on 3 and the minute hand on 12. I guess you prefer 6?

Really all I need to do is to rotate the dial clockwise slightly, which is what I should do.
LightGeek 25 Posted May 29, 2014 Hi Lightgeek, what's your overall opinions of the watch, how do you rate it? As a watch, I like it far more than the no-date Sub. It's probably a keeper once I get that dial issue resolved... and maybe the bezel too depending on how much it bugs me. As a rep it fails in several QC areas (this copy). 1. misaligned dial, needs to be CW a bit 2. hour hand is off 3. smudges on the hour markers 4. scratch on the 660 5. terrible logo print 6. bezel is misaligned 7. crap/scratch on second hand Now 3, 4, and 5 are IMPERCEPTIBLE at normal height. mapman57 0 Posted May 29, 2014 Great pics, why is this called a V2 - is there a reported change?
LightGeek 25 Posted May 29, 2014 What I do immediately miss is the comfort adjustment Rolex have. Great pics, why is this called a V2 - is there a reported change? Beats me. Probably a marketing thing. There's another thread on this v2 report.
Pharmo 33 Posted May 29, 2014 Great pics, why is this called a V2 - is there a reported change? I think the pearl is meant to be better on the V2 - although it is almost perfect on my V1.
Wriggles 12 Posted May 29, 2014 Great pics, why is this called a V2 - is there a reported change? I think the pearl is meant to be better on the V2 - although it is almost perfect on my V1. +1. Individual serial numbers on the caseback. Hands and indices rose gold better matching. More closely matcing lume Longer crown tube closer to gen Thats the marketing guff anyway. Lots of stories about the lume colour being off, and more akin to the lume expected on the Blue version. Whiter and less vintage than the Red version should be. Personally I can't see any difference except I've seen a number of cases of the whiter lume so for me the V1 looks better, and I'm glad I have one cos it's a keeper. LightGeek 25 Posted May 29, 2014 The bracelet finish isn't up to rep Rolex standards, there are sharp edges I need to deal with.
LightGeek 25 Posted May 29, 2014 I'll probably keep this on the basis it's a red bezel. I only keep the PO for the very reason it's an orange bezel -- and the SOA because it's a yellow chapter ring. Hmmm... I like colors.
ElvisFreak 73 Posted May 30, 2014 Looks like I need to realign the hands... And the dial... And the bezel. LG, may I ask how do we adjust the hands?
