_DC_ 218 Posted May 30, 2014 So I've been discussing tattoos with a few members recently, and here's the thing, do you think having tattoos limits your options watch wise (assuming that, like me, you have tattoos close to where you would wear a watch). I've always kinda felt that dress watches didn't work because they were kinda classy and elegant and it clashed with my ink, but I think this Patek works ok with them, so maybe it just has to be the right dress watch?!? What do you guys think? If you got ink and wear dressy watches let us see how they look!!! DC PS: the boat shoes were just for Rob, I know he'll appreciate those blue suede beauties
Kleen™ 45 Posted May 30, 2014 I actually like the contrast. In this day and age, juxtapositioning your styling elements works great - if worn confidently!
gran 226 Posted May 30, 2014 It does not work, without a proper (long armed) shirt these "gentelmans strap watches" do not do their service, unless its a PATEK NAUTILUS with bracelet (no leather) or the like

Duzza 182 Posted May 30, 2014 Nothing to with the tattoos for me. A dress watch needs dress.
_DC_ 218 Posted May 30, 2014 What is that Tat of ? Dal. It's a sinking galleon with a single survivor in a lifeboat, was indicative of my life at the time I had it done, thankfully I turned out to be the guy in the lifeboat so all ended ok:) DC

They're pretty hard to get hold of, took me several months, finally got my hands on it thanks to WatchFinder. The lines are simple and elegant, I love the crown guards in particular DC Honestly I'm not even looking at the Patek, your shoes are stealing the show They are pretty sexy, right? Ahew9391 4 Posted May 30, 2014 I myself am inked quite heavily, both sleeves and half of my torso :-) I can't pull off a dress watch for toffee ! I have tried but I have big wrists too so it all looks a bit girly or just too thin. But that's me ! I think it looks pretty good on you mate, just wish I could pull it off. Put a long sleeved shirt on me and you can't tell the difference. It's all about what pleases the eye mate.
glgl 0 Posted May 30, 2014 Watch fits the outfit, tattoos don't necessarily throw off a dressy look these days (although it does depend on the tattoo though :P)
N.Rico 1 Posted May 30, 2014 Are the tattoos Gen or Rep ANY WAY LOOKS GOOD ! I am not inked but i like to see them .
gmchris 68 Posted May 30, 2014 If you wanna wear a dress watch dress up! The tattoos are irrelevant nowadays. I'm my dad's day tats were for sailors and miners but now they are accepted as art. Robbie Williams and David Beckham may not be everyone's favourite celebrity/annoyance, but they look good in a suit and so do their dress watches...
Robin195959 2 Posted May 30, 2014 I think it looks good. But dress watches really come into their own when peeping from a shirt cuff, in which case the Tat is invisible.

Frankt8242 1 Posted May 30, 2014 I have neither the desire to color any parts of my skin, or dress up enough to feel comfortable wearing a Patek....But if it works for you, why would you even give it a second thought...??? Life is too short to allow other folks dictate style to you...go with what makes YOU comfortable.. And I too like your footgear!!...
