oscarmadfish 0 Posted February 2, 2009 i have said it before and i will say it again gorgeous btw how would you set up a GMT when you are using GMT as your main time ?
AllergyDoc 40 Posted February 2, 2009 If you were using the GMT hand as your hour hand you would have to rotate the bezel forward or backward to reflect the local time and use the hour hand to track time back home. I think.
alphakazi 0 Posted February 2, 2009 i have said it before and i will say it againgorgeous btw how would you set up a GMT when you are using GMT as your main time ? there are a few interesting things you can do with it including knowing when it's day or night, 3rd time zone and even a solar compass - this link gives a good explanation : http://fejack.net/misc/gmt24/gmt24.htm it's an easy conversion but without a gmt hand it's a pain to have to keep converting local time to zulu which is what I have been doing - here in Toronto Canada, it's currently -5 hours current local time = 2:40pm in 24hr format = 14:40 in Zulu (GMT) = 19:40 as a newbie pilot, I still think twice to convert to 24hr time so giving time in zulu is a bit of a pain :Talking Ear Off: looking forward to getting a Navitimer GMT

alphakazi 0 Posted February 2, 2009 you can barely notice the "ring lock system" text - hmph - looks great - I don't recall you picking up one of these? Lawrence special? I told myself if I buy a rollie, it would be the DS but that text put me off - it seems it's not very noticeable though as I've seen in some pics

The DS is the watch I bought from TTK (along with a Cartier for the missus) back in November. Wearing it again today - one of my favourites. I still have an urge for the 'ultimate' v3 version, if only for the lume and the correct clasp, but this is still a damn good watch.
