Go to an AD and tell them your "family member" has a SO44 on bracelet and you want to give them a gift for the summer to freshen up their watch look. They won't ask any questions about the watch, and if they do, you can't give it to them, because it isn't your watch and you don't want to spoil the surprise. As long as you play it cool and act like you know precious little about the watch and have no way of getting info, I see no reason why they wouldn't want your money and accept your order to satisfy your "family member" on their special occasion.
