And?

Now buy one.

Why would I? It is not a Breitling or a TAG, so no use of buying.

What's wrong with the price? I don't know much about speedies - or gen Omega prices, but seems like a nice price for a gen...

Good deal for both watches. Actually, there's some damn good deals in general around ATM. I guess a few people are trying to generate some cash..

I think MOST people are holding on to their $$$ - I know I am - being in real estate, things drastically slowed down here and buyers are on the fence - sellers are asking too much.. I'm still doing ok I guess but extra spending has been minimized - I think John was the last one to buy if I'm not mistaken.

Both nice watches and nice prices too. I'm a bit of a vintage Omega fan, well, an Omega fan in general I suppose. I found this link somewhere about certain vintage Constellation cases and dials being replicated and used to create frankenwatches. It does seem to be mainly for the "pie pan" dial versions, which are the ones that go for the most money. Apologies if it's information from this forum (I forget where I saw it now) but worth knowing if you're in the market for a vintage Constellation.

which contains a link where you buy the bits here:

Look carefully and buy one anyway though, even if not a pie pan. I still maintain a vintage Omega represents excellent value, for not much more than "super-rep" money.

If I'm not mistaken, the speedy is a rep. The subdials should be closer
