_DC_ 218 Posted June 11, 2014 If I order now I think I'll go for gold bezel black dial 6265, partly because if you're gonna have gold then show it off on the bezel, and partly because I don't think this will be as popular as the 6263 so more likely to still be in stock at the end of the day haha! Ishmael 92 Posted June 11, 2014 Welp, just sold a few things on eBay... now have the money for my kid's needs and my own! Just sent in a order to Josh for both black bezel versions. Ya, he's fucked for awhile. But I don't care how long I have to wait... as long as I know I have them in the bag... this is a good day mates. I am happy for you buddy. Pictures!!!!! When they arrive. And if you could post them in this thread as well I would massively appreciate it. Thanks mate, and OF COURSE I'll post the pics here! This is my new favorite thread! By the way, been communicating with Josh and he definitely intimated he's got a ton of orders coming in. I told him he's got my patience - as long as he doesn't run out of stock before he gets to my order!

Ishmael 92 Posted June 11, 2014 UPDATE: Just paid Josh - so far so good. That's 2 down, 2 to go. Then I'll have to spring for the PN dials when they come out. Oh Lordy...
Conex 0 Posted June 11, 2014 Gold on 'tonas are a bit like hair on a pussy: great...but not as great as it could be... Its definitely a subjective thing but it seems to be "Grail watch" for many of us. Being a completist I am ever so slightly tempted. Just dont think I would ever wear it. My style just doesnt suit gold watches i guess.
_DC_ 218 Posted June 11, 2014 Gold on 'tonas are a bit like hair on a pussy: great...but not as great as it could be... I wouldn't wear it every day, but I think as part of a Daytona collection a gold 6263 or 6265 is an absolute must!! DC

I am not a massive fan of the B3 (the sheepskin coats US airforce man wore in WWII) but I had to have one. Just for my collection. *men

Such good vintageness contained herein. Seven PN Tonas later.......... Hodinkee is responsible for a lot of my watch purchases!! Search YouTube for "Time Machines". The first video that comes up is a documentary with Tom Bolt, that's what got me into vintage Daytonas, it's only a small section in which he's trying to sell a pair of 6265s to John Bardiger, but that's why I love the 6265 perhaps more than the 6263, and always wanted both gold and steel version!!
