machiavegli 6 Posted June 13, 2014 Loving your new thread HD... and it's cool that you're collecting spur of the moment fun watches not just overpriced "holy grail" watches. Keep em coming!! -Mach

Frazzle 5 Posted June 13, 2014 Great thread, great read. Thanks HoundDoggie. Nice to see some quality watches and some awful choices too! We have all had those watches, we're glad we sold as well as those we regret selling!

houndoggie 58 Posted June 13, 2014 AP ROO Quartz. Honestly, this is the way to go on these AP ROO. no worries on a paperweight movement. alas, I sold it because it was quartz!!!
houndoggie 58 Posted June 13, 2014 One of the first good 3717 reps. I sold it because I dropped it and it got some bruises on it. I now have another one the Vac modded. Great watch nonetheless (I'll post my current reps at the very end). Incidentally, that strap may be the one thing I regret getting rid of the most. Custom made, $40 (yes, back in the day you didn't have to sell plasma to get a new strap), and super super supple. Like big ole titties.
Kleen™ 45 Posted June 13, 2014 ...and super super supple. Like big ole titties. Lol - that comparison is just wrong on so many levels I'm close to panicking...:-)
houndoggie 58 Posted June 13, 2014 The B&R pro dial, from Toro's xmas sale. A great deal, but of course, I am loathe to wear anything besides a Panerai, mostly. Incidently, PBR purchased this from me instead of helping his wife deliver his child....
houndoggie 58 Posted June 13, 2014 AP Diver, v??? (I had 2 different versions, maybe a 2 and a 3.5)
houndoggie 58 Posted June 13, 2014 This one is a little interesting. The latest Super Avenger Purchased from Josh, and I discovered on QC pics his minions had photoshopped away (poorly) scratches around the pearl. I called out Josh, and he said no worries, it's fine. Well it wasn't and I sent it back. They fixed it (1 minute of refinishing, I'm sure) and sent it back here... and I sold it. It probably took longer to photoshop the QC pic then it would have taken to get rid of the scratches.
houndoggie 58 Posted June 13, 2014 another Toro xmas special, this was one everyone scrambled to get. I really liked it, but of course, I must have really liked something else to flip it.
houndoggie 58 Posted June 13, 2014 A couple of more Hublots. (I really thought they were nice watches, and I really tried to get over that fact they were Hublots. Maybe it's a European thing) 'merica! I guess deep down, we all collect reps to maybe impress ourselves, our friends, or strangers a little. I think living where I live, these would be as impressive as an Invicta ( spit. curse)
Jonnybaws 5,280 Posted June 13, 2014 Enjoy your trip down memory lane HD! Some cracking watches!
houndoggie 58 Posted June 13, 2014 The JLC NSD R2D2 C3PO. Nice watch, didn't like the bracelet, discovered that the case had a strange cut out between the lugs so other straps didn't look right. Get the fuck out of my watch box....
houndoggie 58 Posted June 13, 2014 LMPO, I think this is the first version of this watch. What's not to like??? Apparently something because it's been sold. Maybe the dial was too shiny.
houndoggie 58 Posted June 13, 2014 Here is a classy Patek Philippe...too classy for the likes of me.
houndoggie 58 Posted June 13, 2014 BP PO orange 42mm. I still have one, my "beater". Someone look closely and tell me why I sold this one...
houndoggie 58 Posted June 13, 2014 The blue anodized ceramic sub. A legend! Interesting watch, a little too left field for me though.
houndoggie 58 Posted June 13, 2014 From Narikaa: if only you had super lume!!
houndoggie 58 Posted June 13, 2014 BP no date? No date with me, for sure. The one with the date, another flip..
houndoggie 58 Posted June 13, 2014 That brings us to the Panerai section.
houndoggie 58 Posted June 13, 2014 I am guessing there are about 10 or so other reps that I don't have pictures for anymore.
bklynboy 0 Posted June 13, 2014 (edited) BP PO orange 42mm. I still have one, my "beater". Someone look closely and tell me why I sold this one... second hand shouldn't be white tip Edited June 13, 2014 by bklynboy
houndoggie 58 Posted June 13, 2014 BP PO orange 42mm. I still have one, my "beater". Someone look closely and tell me why I sold this one... second hand shouldn't be white tip correct, it in fact had no paint on it all.
