The Patek 5712 rep. Round 1.

IMG_1540.jpg

great little watch, all subdial function fully, as gen. I bought it, sold it, and now have one again.

You should sell it again. ;)

Pam 000. I really liked this rep, maybe I'll get another. The rep has exceptionally strong AR, better than gen.

I don't know if the Noob fact is available anymore. Just don't get the H-fact. IMHO the AR is nowhere near as good as noob's. I had one and ended up selling because the weak AR.

It's a beautiful rep indeed.

I have one of yours from 18 months ago, what's the time line so far?

It's a little back and forth, but pretty much everything from about 2012 and before. I have another photobucket account and still have to go through the whole PAM collection, which will be a lot..

What did you get?

B&R 02- SS the one with no numbers, I'd just got back from the hospital the day my boy was born, a cheeky pm then off to bed...... 15/12/12...02:21am.... Toro Xmas sale I think. Its as keeper for sentimental reasons :)

cool... still working?

Yup, still working, still worn regularly too, most weeks in fact. They were a steal really those Xmas deals :)

Pam 111?

I sold the AP FC diver, so that is another for the history books.

Here are my thoughts on rep collecting over time:

1. I like PAMs, though I HATED them when I first started. It's a very addictive brand that sucks you in with the history, the uniqueness, the multitude of models, and strap whoring. Luckily enough (or because of), it seems that China really likes making good PAM reps. So for the noob rep collector, it is usually your best interest to learn to love Panerai

2. I tried many many times to get into AP watches. They are great looking in pics and are also well replicated, but I always felt out of sorts wearing them, like they didn't fit my persona.

...... more thoughts later.

And I've sold the PAM 560 and the AP FC Diver. What is next???

more thoughts:

3. I really like a clear crystal. No cloudy murky bullshit. AR if AR is appropriate, no blue AR please. I find the Planet Ocean reps have great AR (42mm BP and the Noob versions). The PAM 029 has great AR as well. Whatever AR factory did those crystal, fucking hire them for everything!

4. almost no one compliments my watches when I wear them.

I have no clue where this one is, but it may definitely have been inside SFA's wife's hoohah.

Can I ask why?
