ellistyle1 0 Posted June 14, 2014 Is there a way to age stainless steel? Other than beating on it is there a way to give it something of a patina?
James. 4 Posted June 14, 2014 Take some fine grit, wet sand paper, pitt the surface, then leave it out in mother nature for a few weeks, rain hail or shine to get a real nice natural effect. You can "pickle" the case, salt, bleach and vinegar mixture (from memory) and then spray it with peroxide will create some rust you can then remove leaving a mild patina. Then there's corrosive acids you can use too, if you want to research into it.
millionaire wannabe 1 Posted June 14, 2014 Never polish, wipe, or clean it again. Wear the crap out of it, preferably in as many different environments as possible, ideally dusty or sandy. Eventually patina WILL develop, but it'll basically be dirt!
