New Tag Calibre 36 with problem from TD

Recommended Posts

gessler

I got this replica from a trusted dealer in February and it looks great and has worked fine until yesterday. It seems the hour hand has slipped and is now catching on the chronograph screw down near 6 o'clock. I have tried manually changing the time but the hour hand will not go past the two screws at 3 & 6 o'clock. What should I do? The watch is 4 1/2 months old and was not a cheap replica $350+! Hope someone can help and thanks in advance!

send it to someone to have a look at and reset the hands, I wouldn't expect the TD to be responsible after 5 months myself.

Did it get a little knock? I only slightly tapped a GMT once and a similar thing happened. Shouldn't be a problem to sort it.

Hack the movement (to stop a silly little problem becoming a nightmare)

And get your watchsmith of choice to reseat the hand(s)

The hour hand has obviously 'walked' loose on the stem pursuant to some force (ref Newton's first law ;))

thanks everyone. Was worried that it was a big problem. Guess I'll try to find someone to fix it here and see how it goes!
