msparky1965 3 Posted June 15, 2014 Hi all I joined this excellent site last week having steered my way past all the scammers and found the TD list. I have a Navitimer World enroute from Joshua at PC. QC shots checked out . Thanks to the forums I could see although it was a nice rep it does have the usual tell-tales of poor AR coating and too deep date window, but I'm not expecting perfection just a function piece. So thanks for all the great info on the forum. I will put up pics when it arrives. And the bug has hit so hard I will probably be straight back in for a Seamaster and maybe another Breitling for my son

msparky1965 3 Posted June 15, 2014 Thanks guys, I can see how easily this hobby empties bank accounts and maxes out credit cards :-) I will indeed post pics of the Navitimer World when it finally makes its way to the UK. I do have some minor ajustments to make to the watch as I have a large wrist size (close to 9 inches) so I have a high quality xl strap in brown croc heading to me from the US

msparky1965 3 Posted July 11, 2014 Hello all My watches from Joshua at PC have arrived! and here are a few quick pics and my thoughts. Firstly the Navitimer World Well the rep of the Breitling Navitimer World does seem to have a lot of problems. The dial printing is poor with a lot of white spots visible on the dial. These spots were not apparent on the QC photos. The watch looks fine on wrist and from a distance so i'm not too disapointed. Chalk one down to experience. I've changed the strap from the supplied black croc to a longer brown one to accommodate my big wrist size. The lack of good AR does make the dial hard to read in dull lighting. The second rep is a Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean Goodplanet GMT This one makes up for the Navitimer as it is a gem. A really lovely watch on and off the wrist. Much harder to spot this as a rep. The easiest tell is that the bezel isn't bi-directional and of course the AR isn't up to gen quality (although it is better than the Navitimer). I'm using the bracelet with the divers extension as i'm waiting for some extra links i ordered from eBay to arrive.
msparky1965 3 Posted July 11, 2014 I have now removed the back and checked the movement on the Navitimer World. At least here all look nice and tidy. Pretty sure some of the white marks on the dial are loose and could be removed, but i'm nervous about removing the bezel and glass or pulling out the movement to clean the dial.
