gareth 2 Posted June 17, 2014 yes horrible stuff but I bet if you left it longer it would take it off
dfq23 126 Posted June 17, 2014 Gave it another try over night but unfortunately no joy. Typical that one time I don't want something to be PVD coated it is!
DR3M3L 4 Posted June 17, 2014 So many people complaining about bad PVD coating that comes off their watch....... You complaing it doesn't come off is a way more fun perspective

dfq23 126 Posted June 17, 2014 So many people complaining about bad PVD coating that comes off their watch....... You complaing it doesn't come off is a way more fun perspective Perhaps if I just wear it normally for a day with long shirt sleeves it will just come peeling off like everyone else lol! A very nice man has offered to help me out though so looks like crisis over
dfq23 126 Posted June 17, 2014 Turns out the bloody buckle is black ceramic. What self respecting rep factory actually makes a part out of the same material as the gen when they don't need to? What is the world coming to? Time to message some TDs. One said $50... just for the buckle... not including delivery... The gen ceramic one is only £105 so can't see why so expensive for rep steel
dfq23 126 Posted June 17, 2014 Yep definitely ceramic! Tony at asian 7750 has them for $25 delivered which is much better so if anyone wants a black ceramic one in a couple of weeks let me know
Mr Stubbs 0 Posted June 17, 2014 How about a photo of the watch? I'm considering a Chronofighter from Toro.
dfq23 126 Posted June 17, 2014 (edited) It really is a lovely watch. Don't even feel any different when wearing compared to a normal one Edited June 17, 2014 by dfq23
Mr Stubbs 0 Posted June 17, 2014 Wow, if this comes with a ceramic buckle, I'm going for it. Thanks!
dfq23 126 Posted June 17, 2014 I think mine came with the black ceramic one by mistake. Should be stainless
Mr Stubbs 0 Posted June 19, 2014 I've ordered the white panda with black sub-dials & received QC pics already. It's funny (ha ha) though: the buckle is stainless, but it appears one sub-dial has a black hand and the opposite hand is silver! If it is, I like it even more. It could be they pieced together the last few Chronofighters from mis-matched parts. When it arrives I'll post pics under Toro's feedback section. I'm loving his quick turnaround time so far. Mr Stubbs 0 Posted June 19, 2014 If you're UK based and wanna do a buckle swap mate.... Unfortunately I'm in the Canadian colony. The thought of a ceramic (and apparently indestructible!) buckle is appealing though. Let's see how I feel when I have this behemoth weighing down my arm!
