elp 26 Posted June 19, 2014 Does anyone know how to "rubberise" strap edges? Right now I'm only able to color them black or brown, would love to have some additional durable options. I must be using the wrong search terms in google :-) Cheers.
DR3M3L 4 Posted June 19, 2014 PM Serge, he's a very friendly and helpful strapmaker I'm sure he'll help you out.
gottahaverolex 0 Posted June 26, 2014 You need to buy edge paint from Tandy leather factory. It comes in a whole array of colors.
elp 26 Posted June 26, 2014 Thanks for the feedback guys. Serge suggested a specific brand of paint, I'll try some, if that does not give the desired results I'll try Tandy - have previously bought lots of stuff from them.
McJules 396 Posted June 29, 2014 the one from tandy is what i use and works great
elp 26 Posted June 29, 2014 See the keeper edge for the result with Angelus Acrylic paint (the keeper edge wasn't burnished, it is just a proof of concept while I wait for the proper leather). I have ordered some black from Tandy too (not the Edge Cote which I already use, the proper paint for the rubberised effect) Thanks all for your feedback!
