fusion 0 Posted June 26, 2014 For today, and possibly tomorrow, my weekender watch: gen Rolex DJ, TT on jubilee. Am just infatuated with this beauty; can't believe it's mine, courtesy of wifey. (old pics) dave: She's a beauty Dave!!! My gen DJ says hello. Got mine from the wife too about 15 years ago My GAWD, K.! Your gen DJ is in fantastic shape for a fifteen year old watch. Looks better than mine! Congrats, and wear it well! Also, give wifey a hug and kiss for having such exquisite tastes. dave Thanks Dave! I take good care of all my watches. My Rolex AD hates me cause he never can get me for a polish And yep, the wife has very good taste - she married me! . . . And this would be my gen (from the late 70's) and still my favorite. Shows some wear, but also cleans up nice. Needs a new band though. Love this watch. (forgive the cell phone image quality)
dave47 6,545 Posted June 26, 2014 It's HUMPDAY, folks!! Midweek, so here we go: For today and tonight, this cheapie Rolex 16610 Sub acquired from an RWI mate (I believe). Yeah, it's a cheapie, one w/ all its flaws, but I love it (in my own perverted way, heh!) Long live cheapies that usually turn out to be quite rugged. dave:

I usually just give my DJ a brief "bath" and use an old swirl type toothbrush with regular soap to clean it -- and it seems to work. The pics I have of my gen DJ are after I gave it a good cleaning, rinse, and "polishing." dave Edited June 27, 2014 by dave47
