Wriggles 12 Posted July 2, 2014 Some idiot IS out of pocket, who in their right mind thinks they're getting a gen Panerai for 1000GBP???? Movement blatantly rep. Description says stainless even though the pics are DLC. Such a bad description, whoever selling it doesnt' even know enough about Panerai models to be able to make it convincing. "Panerai ZF" Zfactory. Even using rep terms in the sales pitch. All the feedback is as a buyer, all left over two days at the end of June...... Some idiots deserve to be ripped off
frogflyer 6 Posted July 9, 2014 Well I am still patiently waiting for the Pam I won on the Bay. I googled some pics and it looks pretty legit, and man what a deal! The guy isn't a watch seller so it must have come out of his private collection. He has good ratings so my guess is he is loaded and just wanted to dump this quickly to get something else. Anyway, I scored, I'll do a quick sapphire scratch test, wind her up and take her for a spin. I may visit an AD and flash my wrist, take a look at the prices that suckers pay, smile and be on my way. Gotta love the Bay!
millionaire wannabe 1 Posted July 20, 2014 No boxes or papers? "Manual training movement"? What the hell? Is that like training wheels for a watch? Lol. I wouldn't have touched this sale with a ten foot pole!
Hornet 1 Posted July 20, 2014 What?! It's not gen? Fuck me I wish I'd not put a bid in......
D_Chico 0 Posted July 20, 2014 I don't even think that model exists!?! Also it has a Radiomir caseback!?! Wtf....and the jewels on the movement are painted!!
Ishmael 92 Posted July 21, 2014 I've never understood this... what's the upside for passing off a fake as a gen? You sell it - great! Some idiot overpays, but then gets the watch, realizes its fake, and then opens a PayPal dispute. PP will almost automatically side with buyer, so they get their money back. Seller is now fucked. What's the upside? Sell one watch and immediately shut down your PayPal account?
flyr 4 Posted July 21, 2014 If they are smart and quick they will get away with it especially if the buyer is slow in reporting the fake. PP will pay the seller, and I'm sure they take the funds out of their PP account as soon as possible. The buyer may or may not have an easy time getting his money back if PP has lost theirs. The seller can change their IP address and name to get a new PP account and do it again. Bastards!
Ishmael 92 Posted July 21, 2014 Wow. Seems like so much work. Whatever it takes I guess.
Griffo 6 Posted July 22, 2014 Wow. Seems like so much work. Whatever it takes I guess. Not much work for the kind of profit they make, though!
