The suitcase are packed and I'm waiting for transport to the airport.

I hope my friends will be happy for the watch, they have not seen them yet .... :)

My friend, I think your project is breathtaking. I love the details, like the wooden boxes for the watches.

I'm also particularly interested in the process you went through on the dial design.

I'm a total noob, but it would be fascinating to hear more detail on that process.

- Who actually created the artwork in your post #1?

- From the printed artwork, what was the process to get to the textured dial base, and then the printed dials you show later in the post?

- You mention contacting "rmcsherry at Homageforum". Is this something he/she does professionally? Maybe you could give an email or other link.

Sorry for the trivial questions, but I'm trying to get an idea of how difficult this would be for somebody with basic technical skills to reproduce for their own "cherished project".

Cheers,

SPuD

Epic watches for an epic road trip! Have a great time my friend.

Nice packaging too...

I see the handywork of Uwe all over those boxes. If it's timber, leather or brass chances are he can make it for you.

Thank you my friends, I am very pleased with the outcome of this project. Nice that you like it too.

Not to forget the trip, it was awesome!

Trying to put together some photos for you, but it's a hell of a job ..... think I took about 1000 photos totally

Thanks, contact rmcsherry at Homageforum and ask him.

Do not know if this was one-time event for him. He who made the drafts and the dials though :)

WOW, great ride and adventure! Must have been totally FUNTASTIC

Thank you so, so much for sharing it all with us with the wonderful pics.

Mr. P, I do have two questions. Going back to the beginning, before the ride began. There were 3 watches of power that were crafted in the dark halls of Norway. One for the California, one for the Pam and one for the Harley speedo. Throughout the picture story, we only saw one watch, the California.

What happened to the other two watches and is the California dial the " One Watch To Rule Them All?"

Thanks mates, I'm still a bit high after this amazing experience

First ... the Pam dial was never finished.

Second .... Unfortunately, was the straps of two of the owners too short and did not fit. Therefore, it was never taken any pictures of them, unfortunately.

Since there were many experiences every day, I do not have time to organize so much about the watches either. :)

Personally, I think that the cali dial is the fanciest, but the speedo dial is certainly the most original.

I'm definitely going to make another one with the speedo dial....for myself
