anfalas 0 Posted July 9, 2014 .................not far from the Costa del Brighton! Firstly, a huge thanks to all the contributors on this forum, I really have learnt a lot from you guys in a fairly short space of time, although to be fair I am particularly nerdy when it comes to researching my new hobbies!! Many hours have been spent reading and watching videos already. I suspect I arrived here in much the same circumstances as most of you, pretty much by chance whilst searching numerous websites for reps. All I can say is I'm glad I did as it's clearly saved me from making a monumental balls-up!! I was 'that' close to placing an order with one of the more lets say 'borderline lottery' sites, lured in by their fancy web pages and extravagant descriptions. I've loved 'high end' watches most of my life but had pretty much given up the hope of ever owning one mainly due to be being unable to justify the sort of budget you could buy a small car with and not having a cat in hells chance of 'selling' the idea to my missus!! It was actually my brother who kick-started the idea again after many years when he recently bought a gen Omega '74 geneve automatic (not really my bag but a beautiful watch all the same). Anyway, I started looking for replicas and kicked off with a Rolex Sub and Omega Seamaster 300m. Both cost me less than $100 inc delivery but to be honest (prob more luck than judgment) I was frankly blown away with the quality of both. Same weight as gens and superb finish bar a few obvious niggles at this price range (slightly skewed mag window on the Sub etc) So I decided to broaden my horizons and see what else was around ......... .......and here I am So, I've placed my first order from TS for a Tag Aquaracer Chrono with gray dial. Christina mailed me 2 days after payment to say they need a few days to get one in or they could supply the black dial version instead. I'm well used to ordering from China so I know the score (yes the patience is strong with this one my padawan) so I've opted to wait. I guess my question is to anyone who's ordered from TS, is 'a few days' more likely to be a few weeks?

BentleySharp 0 Posted July 12, 2014 Hello and Welcome from hot and humid Houston, Texas, USA! I used to live in London in the South Bank, Just a 5 minute walk from Waterloo station. Now I'm in the sweaty armpit of Southern Texas in the summer. Sounds like you've got a good grasp already of how this hobby works. That's good. So many people come here to order a watch and get very upset when the transaction doesn't proceed like checkout from Amazon. Anyways, enjoy the forum and your time here
