ssh 0 Posted July 13, 2014 Hello a few months ago i bought a Quartz Tag Heuer Carrera watch from a non TD before i found this haven. I have noticed that the chronograph when occasionally will stop or slow down rather than a normal 1 second tick. Is there a fix to this or is the movement breaking? It occurs around the 15 second mark each rotation generally however its not consistent.

SSTEEL 0 Posted July 13, 2014 Test the battery, or renew it, and see how it goes then?
ssh 0 Posted July 14, 2014 its only a few months old wouldn't think the battery needs replacing already :( It keeps perfect time so I'm not sure its the battery although I'm no expert Could there be dirt in the moment or something?
greg_r 83 Posted July 14, 2014 Still worth a try - you can never be sure how long that battery was sitting in stock before they put it in the watch....
DR3M3L 4 Posted July 14, 2014 Still worth a try - you can never be sure how long that battery was sitting in stock before they put it in the watch.... Reminds me of my work: ordered thousands of stopwatches with our brand on it from china, they forgot to place plastic between the battery and arrived by container (takes 2 months to the Netherlands) with all batteries empty.. :lmao:
