This particular one has a CA high gloss finish - 20 coats (took bloody ages!) alternated with boiled linseed oil The coat will be very hard, and the finish will not age as a result. Impress people? nah.......I make and use these pens, because I love wood, love making them, and enjoy the pleasure people get from using them. Same reason why I like reps.....you can find them good value for money..they're cheaper than Montblancs, and better quality than bic You don't need a business environment to show off a nice watch...or pen!
