RichardMiami 4 Posted August 14, 2014 What I suspect is that the eBay review is seeing both the reports of infringement AND the bids. They might be thinking that the bids make the sale legitimate. After all, who would bid $20k on a fake watch?

Higs 73 Posted August 14, 2014 What I suspect is that the eBay review is seeing both the reports of infringement AND the bids. They might be thinking that the bids make the sale legitimate. After all, who would bid $20k on a fake watch? I would hope in a common-sense world, that big bids on a suspect watch would make Ebay more wary, not less. They risk someone getting seriously burnt on their site.
JohnG 41 Posted August 14, 2014 I wonder if this guy is still around so I sent: Can you ship insured? Bidding is high and I dont want to take a chance on such a high value item. And can you send via FedEx? Thanks! .
StormyNight 0 Posted August 14, 2014 Why are people reporting it to Rolex? Is there purely because he's trying (not very well!) to pass a fake off as gen? Surely reporting to Rolex is unnecessarily opening up a can of worms regarding fakes, etc. Dunno! Not really bothered

Surely reporting to Rolex is unnecessarily opening up a can of worms regarding fakes, etc. Dunno! Not really bothered Think about it from a few angles: 1. If anyone can convince eBay that the offer is indeed fake, it is Rolex 2. Rolex probably has more clout with eBay than any of us do 3. The "can of worms" about fake Rolexes on eBay and elsewhere has been wide open for many years. Nothing new there.
StormyNight 0 Posted August 14, 2014 Guess so. Was just curious as, to me, it seems a bit contradictory that a rep wearer would report a rep watch but, obviously, it's a whole different ball game when someone tries to sell on as gen. I still want to "win" it
