graman 2 Posted October 7, 2010 It’s odd, I think, how things seem to happen at similar times…. I came home this week to a package from OS – My ingy had returned home from a hospital visit, where OS and M had been doing some surgery to save my piece of hardware, alas to no avail. There was also a slip, informing me to pick up a package from the post office. Since it was my son’s birthday yesterday, I thought that it would be a package for him from his grandparents, and my wife agreed. Mrs Graman, decided that she would pick it up Thursday (today). I went to work, and had a fairly productive day, as there was no trouble, and I was able to concentrate on doing some proactive work……I ended up at work quite late, which is becoming the norm for a Thursday. Now I come home…thinking about many things on the way……my regular routine at home..putting the kids to bed, catching up with Mrs Graman, what kind of sawdust I’m going to make, and what kind of watch will I replace my dead ingy with? Aquatimer was winning……..I love the Big Pilot, and was thinking to myself..â€oh…maybe I shouldâ€, but Kinky, Ska, Sconey, Robert & Greg had been pretty convincing last night about going the aquatimer, and I was pretty well sold. There’s a package on the bench addressed to me when I got home tonight. Cue quizzical look from me, and Mrs Graman…….moderate interest from the kids. “It wasn’t for Wil? Odd…..I haven’t ordered anything……..not yet……and no..it’s not from China…†Wow! Just………………………Wow!......................... Now I know why you guys were putting me off the BP! Gentlemen, it is beautiful! The AR is stunning! The thing has a wonderful weight, and sits on my wrist like it was made for it! The power reserve is real!........It took me quite a bit of time to get the PR up to 7 days! The Lume’s really good too! (and boosted by my son’s sonic screwdriver – Dr Who fans can laugh now!) No secret that I’m feeling very emotional, and very humbled tonight. This is a beautiful watch from you all, and one that I will treasure always. Thank you to you all, my friends! I’m really at a loss for words. What can I say about RWG? This is a special place, full of amazing, talented and generous people, and together, we have a brilliant, and wonderful community. I’ve made some amazing friends here, that I’ve never seen irl, but I enjoy every moment of your company, your insight and passions, and your friendship. Thank you all.
