Changing A6497 movement for?

I have a Pam 111 with A6497 movement, the movement is a great time keep and runs perfectly, however I was thinking that if the time came when it went wrong are the 6497 movements easy to purchase. I was also thinking is there any movements that are more reliable long term that would swap straight in?
