gtwc 1 Posted October 7, 2010 just to let you know that AOL is most definitely not user-friendly when it comes to RWG and its forums. the other day I posted on Robert's forum bemoaning why everyone else could see pics of his latest offering (it has happened before) and not me. thankfully Greg & Roberto were full of knowledge and pushed me towards another browser (Firefox). all pics were instantly visible, super. today I tried to upgrade to VIP status - AOL again caused no end of problems in the 'joining in' stage and I had to give up. then, lo & behold - using Mozilla Firefox it worked like a dream, first time. result = a Firefox convert and a VIP Member (in waiting). greg_r 81 Posted October 8, 2010 Frankly, the AOL browser is simply not user friendly. It barfs on all sorts of sites, not just ours. Standard advice for any other AOL users out there is to ditch it and use something (anything!) else Glad you managed to make it through the process, though! Lookin' good in green
Brightlight 0 Posted October 8, 2010 AOL is the Antichrist of the computing world (or joint Antichrist with Norton). Avoid all things AOL like the plague. A few years back I worked with a friend on some project work for a German consultancy. The consultancy sent us lots of emails which I always received. My friend who used AOL only received around 60% of these emails, seemingly randomly, something AOL could not explain. He has now completely dispensed with AOL!!
