Star 0 Posted October 8, 2010 (edited) New 'Ultimate 251 H' from Puretime (http://www.puretimewatch.com/product/pam251h-daylight-a7753-ultimate-edition/) Oustanding overall quality, with excellent lume for a rep. Sec's resets to exact 12 every time. Good job on the CG/Teeth and spacing on the crown to case is very close to gen. Steel feels different on this rep and closer to Gen (316 vs 310?) Date font appears thinner on this watch and close to Gen-- (VS the pics on Puretime site-too BOLD and THICK in pic) Not too thrilled with the 'quick release' system (without the proper tool, it's difficult to get the pin out) Power reserve on the A-7753 could be better but I've only had for a few days. Overall -very satisfied and recommend Edited October 9, 2010 by Star
Drhulee 0 Posted October 8, 2010 Looks nice. Can you show some pics of the case back and profile of the CG? I believe the 251 DW numbers have a thinner font than the other Daylight watches (Black dialed ones). Also, the Q-R system takes a little getting used to, but is great when you've got a lot of straps and tend to switch them up now and then.
Luthier 1 Posted October 8, 2010 Very overpriced, and this is not "new style" bracelet, it's an old style. Otherwise - great watch, enjoy!!!
Drhulee 0 Posted October 8, 2010 Very overpriced, and this is not "new style" bracelet, it's an old style.Otherwise - great watch, enjoy!!! It is the right bracelet for the series it is repping (H-K). At least for the 236K Rep is. Also the bracelet and deployant are not the ones we're used to, the bracelet is 24/20mm and the deployant has been manufactured better than the previous ones. As far as pricing, compared to other PAM offerings it is a bargain - especially considering its accuracy to gen (236K anyway). The only drawback is the movement may not be as reliable as we hoped for... but its a rep
AllergyDoc 40 Posted October 8, 2010 Maybe the difference in the steel is the "316F" instead of 316L? Everyone's getting one of these. I ordered mine from Replicamake. It's at LAX right now, being pawed over by sweaty Homeland Security agents.
collector26 0 Posted October 8, 2010 Everyone's getting one of these. I ordered mine from Replicamake. You and I both Doc. Got my tracking # from Lay today. Really looking forward to this one.
gB. 0 Posted October 8, 2010 Maybe the difference in the steel is the "316F" instead of 316L? Correct on the 316F. That steel is a whiter steel than 316L, which goes well with the white dial IMHO. There's a breakdown of the differences between the two types on steel over on RWI, just do a search for it. As far as price, Lay at Replicamake (trusted dealer here) has the exact same watch for $328, but if you pay by Western Union he takes off 15%, so really comes to $278, full $100 less than PT. Plus Lay performs the QC, regulates it, and does a waterproof test (sends you the results), all included in the price. He has the best deal on this watch at the moment. I also have one on order with Lay and is en route...
Star 0 Posted October 9, 2010 To be fair on the power reserve, I've only worn the watch a couple of times in the last two weeks, so it may be stronger. Also Angus had his watch guy, check the mov, oil, pressure test and re-seal for me as well. @Doc...you should have waited afew weeks for me to sell you mine! Drhulee 0 Posted October 10, 2010 Hmm, just noticed that ReplicaMake is a trusted dealer here. Looks like I owe someone a partial apology.

Star 0 Posted October 11, 2010 (edited) How many 'Ultimates' have you had now Star? Too many LOL I think the date font on this watch looks pretty good and this is a big improvement over the 188 IMO Edited October 11, 2010 by Star
