Wiz 0 Posted October 9, 2010 It's a Bergeon 5700 case back opener/closer. It is about 8 years old but the former owner has been talking good care of it, so it's in really good shape. I used it for the first time to seal my PAM 005. Now try to open it with a sticky ball!
KeNnY 29 Posted October 9, 2010 I would do it with no problem ! How much it cost ?
Brightlight 0 Posted October 9, 2010 These retail in the UK for about £400 ($650). Good pick up!
offshore 0 Posted October 9, 2010 Yeh, nice bit of kit that! There are a whole series of "bits" for various watches available for those. I have a similar unit, (not a Bergeon unfortunately) and they are the ducks guts for the "impossible to move" caseback which occasionally pops up. I'll bet 1000:1 that a caseback closed with that, will break out laughing if you put a sticky ball any where near it! Offshore.
prestigewatchco 2 Posted October 9, 2010 Great tool but be careful I have stripped case back threads before now with one over tightening. But I am ham fisted. Certainty if you have the right bits nothing will not open with it. I open most Rolex with my fingers though my watch guy is amazed. It can take a minute or 2 but I rarely fail
Wiz 0 Posted October 9, 2010 Thanks guys! In EU the new version is available for around 400/500 EUR including VAT. I picked this one up for 250 euros with a full set of bits, so I feel like it's a pretty fair deal.

Ska 11 Posted October 9, 2010 From the photo it looks like the whole opener somehow fits in that tiny box! :P
