gtwc 1 Posted October 9, 2010 Why is it that the trusted dealers cannot go to the factories and say "what these people want is the ability to be able to tell the time in the dark". That equals more lume, better lume, superior lume, ultimate lume etc. Surely by buying in bulk, using genuine / proper materials, it would be possible to offer all watches 'super luminova'd' for less than a couple of quid (less than $5 for the across-the-big-pond cousins) and we would all (I know I would) be happy to pay a surplus of say ten bucks a watch GUARANTEED super luminovad. I now have 4 reps from 3 dealers and love them all. The machine quality is superb. The only thing they have in common is the lack of luminescence. I have tried 'charging the lume' - it lasted minutes and would have had better luck at the Charge of the Light Brigade (slight historical pun, sorry). This cannot be too hard to achieve can it? Or am I being naive? c'est la vie..............
Wiz 0 Posted October 9, 2010 Good lume material is very expensive, and rep maker don't use anything expensive to build their watches.

NFleischer 4,355 Posted October 9, 2010 You have a point, but the truth is many gens have little or no lume either.
