graman 2 Posted October 10, 2010 I love this timber! Recently made one of these for KinCaidk, and just had to make another! Wenge is very hard, and very brittle to turn, but sands to a stunning finish. It takes a hell of a long time to make one of these. Very dark wood, with a lovely grain contrast..Makes for a stunning pen. Chrome kit, slimline Natural finish (you don't need CA on something this hard) Nice balance on this one, using a new kit that has a lovely, weight. Using a Cross mechanism & refill. (Fine point - you may like to change to medium point for a smoother inkflow) I have some small quantities of this stuff - I hope to find more, but it's tough to find.
