Helldiver 0 Posted September 6, 2014 Difficult to know if it's indeed profiteering. Some people buy 3-4 pieces and keep only the one they like. A lot of C&R seem to be the results. I personally don't want to commit so much funds for this type of operation but some deeper pocket members may. Usually offer and demand should regulate the market but that usually doesn't work when some new models are pointing their noses and our poor newbies buy at ridiculous prices (in that case profiteering is indeed the result). Wouldn't like to be in the shoes of our mods when this happen but I trust them to have the experience to detect this type of behaviour.
Kcore 0 Posted September 7, 2014 Am I the only one thinking (maybe selfishly thinking) "what's the problem, as long as they aren't profiteering and it's giving more members access to reasonably priced reps" If anything it may help to keep a lid on the TD's 'profit creep' that was the recent hot topic. Rules are rules. If they're not followed, the next thing you know someone is offering to trade a Polish AK-47 for a watch. Oh, that already happened, didn't it. Carry on! Same line of thought It's a bit underhand being a member of a forum and calling people "friends" yet frequently making money from them by running a small-scale trading operation IMO. It's possibly to make "reasonably priced reps" available by passing them on at cost rather than operating it like a business. Or go through the proper channels and "apply" to become a TD. Buying at a low cost then selling on, on here is exactly profiteering, and exactly what thjs person does. If they really gave a shit abojt rwg their sale prices would be for what they laid, no profit other than the good feeling they get passing on a good deal to other members

Very different from back door dealing. Now, does anybody else want to wear the 'daddy pants'....?
andyboy 5 Posted September 7, 2014 I am happy with the way the mods look after this place including the sales sections. I hope no unneccessary damage has been done to a members selling reputation.

dfq23 131 Posted September 7, 2014 (edited) September 2 AP 15400, 2 AP panda August/September 2 AP black themes May/June 3 AP divers June-Sep 2 Pam 390 That's just quickly from what was posted above but does seem to be a lot of expensive watches doubled up and sold in short periods of time and that's not including the one offs. I'm not adverse to a catch and release myself but never bought sold and bought another to then sell again in space of a week but who knows what sellers remorse people may have but can see why it was possibly thought a bit strange Edited September 7, 2014 by dfq23
