MDK 0 Posted April 25, 2016 JF 15400 on OEM Gator May I kindly ask how did you install an OEM AP strap on a JF 15400? many thanks in advance.. JF 15400 on OEM Gator May I kindly ask how did you install an OEM AP strap on a JF 15400? many thanks in advance.. With great difficulty, the plots need to be modified and reshaped. I am traveling at the moment, I will try and add some detail later this evening. Looking forward to this! Will try my best, in a hotel without my camera, I have shamelessly stolen this photo, they're not JF plots but give you the idea. Two issue, the lug extending out from the plot is too long And the underside are milled flat and not curved. OEM straps are designed for plots that are curved on the top and bottom. We first file down the lug to allow the plot to drop far enough into the insert, once done to you will notice it still won't drop in because of the flat bottom doesn't fit the curved OEM strap. What I did was very carefully file down the flat bottom to curve it, once done I used a triangular needle file to cut a groove in between the underside of the lug and newly curved bottom edge, from there the plots drop into the strap insert. I also found its a tight squeeze to get them onto the watch case once in the strap, I guess it's a few thou out, but fits with a little persuasion. Do NOT ever modify the top edge of the plots, it's not necessary. I will add a proper write up when I get home

huhu84 0 Posted May 18, 2016 JF V7 Hi can I check if it's 1:1? Reason I'm asking I bought a noob ap 4.0 in 2014. Everything was great till I went by the boutique and saw the real deal only to realize it's not 1:
Khronos 1,339 Posted May 18, 2016 No rep in the whole wide universes is not 1:1 mate But this one is considered to be the best one at the moment. It has a closed caseback, fabulous build quality and the crystal looks like it's not even there from most angles. Do the reading, there's a lot of material generously contributed from our members.
