graman 2 Posted September 14, 2014 This is a composite metal that is, I'm told, was developed for space craft etc. It has a great damascus steel finish on it, polished up to gem quality Again, a bit pricey...experimenting with the material at the moment, so I'm not sure how many I'll make. Pretty hard on my tools, and it takes a bit of labour to get these done to gem quality. $120aud plus $30 shipping by registered post. $5 shipping in Oz. graman 2 Posted September 16, 2014 Pretty hard on the tools...........Luckily, I have a couple of take no shit chisels, not made from conventional materials! I have 2 that are made from hardened steel...gudgeon pins from an engine...one from a car, and one from a tractor Next is to make a skew chisel from an old file
