Yeah was looking at some rooms already. About GBP 180 a night. Bit expensive IMO, but it's a big city and thus hotels will always be more expensive. digger2 0 Posted October 9, 2014 If Hyde Park is the area I think we should try to pick some cheaper hotel with a bar like Lancaster Gate Hotel, 235 Euro for 2 nights more people will probably stay there than on the Corus and that will make it worth the downgrade I think. Del 4,470 Posted October 9, 2014 Guys, I recommend that you wait for Amit and elp to advise where the GTG venue will be before booking any hotel. It is quite possible that the venue will be on the other side of the city for a change (e.g. Covent Garden?) in which case staying in the Hyde Park area might not be the best idea...... Amit 72 Posted October 10, 2014 Ok guys. I'm almost certain on the venue but not sured up yet. Been crazy busy. What is certain is it will be in roughly the same area, so Bayswater/Notting Hill. However what i will say is you don't necessarily need to stay in that area as transport during the day and evening is plentiful and relatively cheap. A lot of guys stayed in the same hotel so even if we travel around after there's always someone to share the journey home with. Myself or Elp will send PM's once the venue is definite.
