GenTLe 1,512 Posted August 2, 2016 Two of my favourite things. Mate, I have to tell you that Peroni beer here in Italy is considered trash-beer, or, better, "that kind of beer that is drunk by bricklayers while waiting for the concrete mixer to finish" If you like beer try, for instance and remaining on the industrial ones, Moretti Baffo D'Oro (winner of various prizes), Poretti 7 luppoli (7 different hops and not filtered), Menabrea 150th anniversary (also winner of a lot of prizes) Cheers, Alex

How do you know I wasn't waiting for the concrete mixer lol I had a Poretti recently (not sure if it is the one you have shown me), not bad though the missus didn't like it. Moretti is quite common over here (again if there are different types I may not have tried the one you have suggested) and one of my brothers usually orders it when at the bar. Peroni really has become very popular over here in recent years, I quite like it and when ordering a beer will normally go for that. Though my drink of choice (while waiting for the concrete mixer) is actually a cider.

Most probably you got this one, which is far more popular around the bars The one I suggested is the "premium one" Now they have launched also new "regional" specialities (considered regions are Friuli, Tuscany, Piemonte and Sicily), but I doubt they are sold outside Italy:

Thanks for the tips. I'll keep an eye out for them as there is bar local to me which had just opened up which only sells beers, lagers and ales from micro Brewers or brands not sold here normally. If anywhere will stock them, they will.
