kiikasi 0 Posted September 25, 2014 I need a chronograph to help with timing my work. Which do you recommend? (Please include pictures and links if possible). Thanks!
rusty peters 0 Posted September 25, 2014 A quartz model. The A7750 models will not tolerate lots of use. Even the st-19 movements will wear out from repeated use.
TK01 0 Posted September 25, 2014 + 1 , don't go with a 7750.
Daywatch 4 Posted September 25, 2014 For timing minutes up to an hour (or countdowntiming setting the target time) the most fast setting (!) and reliable are divers with unidirectional bezelring (like the rolex sub or breitlings or pam submersibles). I use those all the time at work and became so used to the fast practicability that it´s difficult to use other types of watches. For more precision or more hours fully functional quartz models with second, minute and hour function (several), the one I use is the Tag Aquaracer 300m Grande date with the same ronda quartz movement as the gen (1/10th second and up to 12 hours counting functionality) + bezelring. Good lume, very gen-like, expensive at +- $249. Well readable 30 minute counter at 9 and hour counter at 6 (after the first minute for 1/10th seconds). Main seconds hand locked when not using the chrono. Available in black.
graman 2 Posted September 25, 2014 Yep. For repeated use, buy a seiko.
myaz 3 Posted September 25, 2014 Best answer is by rusty peters. As for me, what's worked best has been a digital timer from the dollar store.

funkmaster 1 Posted September 25, 2014 I use my Carrera for (2) years now all the time with no issues.... had a question about this watch, how well has the paint on the bezel held up over the 2 years. ?
HeavyKrush 16 Posted September 25, 2014 That picture was taken about a month ago. No issues for me on the paint.
trailboss99 997 Posted September 25, 2014 As Fakey says, "If you absolutely, positively must kill someone on time, go quartz". If you have your heart set on a mechanical get one of the Sea-Gull 1963 oversize models. They have a high grade ST-19 in them and are pretty much bullet proof. http://www.longislandwatch.com/Seagull_1963_Chronograph_p/6488-2901c.htm 42mm, crystal clear dial and I have used the chronos on mine a hell of a lot with no issues. rusty peters 0 Posted September 27, 2014 If you see no future with your current position, a seconds at six Daytona will suffice. When the watch quits, you should too.
HeavyKrush 16 Posted September 27, 2014 Ok, enough fucking around... For a truly accurate chrono go with the Wilton!
Arism 26 Posted September 27, 2014 In this thread, lack of Speedmaster I see. :yoda:
D_Chico 0 Posted September 27, 2014 Ok, enough fucking around... For a truly accurate chrono go with the Wilton! Definitely have a good point there If you really enjoy a chronograph watch and want a reliable one that is ridiculously accurate than Precisionist is the way to go! Truly an amazing watch for the money
