Cobra GT 0 Posted October 23, 2010 This is an Asian movement that is in a sub I have, and they are calling it Ming Zhou. Does anyone know anything about this movement? To me it seems pretty smooth, it hack and has quick date wheel change. Is this the Asian clone for the ETA 2836 or 2824, and what has anyone else heard about it and call it? Sorry for the pictures are a little funky it needs to be cleaned up a little bit. Thanks for your reply. with rotor another one with out the rotor
Baldrick 1 Posted October 23, 2010 I've seen some MingIng movements, but not heard of a Ming Zhou
Brightlight 0 Posted October 23, 2010 It's a standard cheapy DG2813 21J Chinese movement, I have a brand new one in front of me right now and it's identical apart from the Rolex style rotor cutouts. Ofrei has this movement for around $15 I believe.
Silverspeed 10 Posted October 23, 2010 Your movement is, like Brightlight said, a Chinese lowbeat 21J movement This is what a ETA clone looks like:
sugaray 0 Posted October 23, 2010 I have several reps with 21j minzhu (thats the main 21j that my one dealer uses). Some have been in my collection for 5 years and still running!
