Necromancer 8 Posted October 21, 2014 Just sitting at work on nightshift (Zzzzz) looking at my special offer Ebel 1911 Discovery and thinking what a great watch it is for the price. I've only been around here for ten months or so and was just wondering what your favourite ever 'Special' is/was over the years?
Daywatch 4 Posted October 21, 2014 Steelfish from Toro, going to make a year without issues, good time-keeping and pr, should the alleged "fragile" movement break I´ll just throw in a Hangzhou replacement for $110.
Necromancer 8 Posted October 21, 2014 Wow, that's stunning Daywatch. Is that the one Toro still has on special?
Daywatch 4 Posted October 21, 2014 Wow, that's stunning Daywatch. Is that the one Toro still has on special? Yes, I think it still is at $208 and it is stunning in all aspects, presence and lume included. It does not come with the SS bracelet. Just checked now it is available with the SS bracelet as well, nowadays I´d go for black or blue but that time I needed whitefaced watches. His SO Abyss 42 at $225 is equal/better even, depends on the size You need.

KarmaToBurn 1,419 Posted October 21, 2014 (edited) When did you get this from Tony for -$60 mate? Great deal I think it was a Christmas crazy sale two or three years ago. He also had them with orange rubber and the white version. It has the 21j movement and I think it's the v1. Edited October 21, 2014 by KarmaToBurn
rusty peters 0 Posted October 21, 2014 Looks like a nice bike Karma. What kind of frame is that Sram Rival bolted to? BMC SLX01. That is a solid bike. Stiff mofo, isn't it? A good friend has one just like it, with Mavic Ksyrium wheels instead of Soul. Souls are the better choice. Try not to ride your bike with an A7750 watch. Don't ask how I know. kenton23 8 Posted October 21, 2014 I picked up a Noob Sub C no date from Toro a while back. I think it was just under $200 (US). It's an absolutely fabulous watch which has become my daily beater and on a par with a couple of gens I have (from the outside, at least....). And to think that it was only a last minute thing that I put onto an order for a watch I was desperate for. Funnily enough, that one sits in the drawer most of the time..... It's the end of an era. Here's my $75 Silix special which I wear a fair bit: But hands down my favorite "special" is the $148 Graham Chronofighter Classic, still available from Toro I believe:
