greg_r 81 Posted October 27, 2010 This was a watch I never expected to see repped. The gen is available in both Titanium and SS and, being a tourby, is about $120,000 new There was no way that we were ever going to see an accurate replication this one - due to the tourbillon, but when Robert listed this the other day, it looked like a darned good compromise. The real limitations of this rep are the fact that the subdial @3 is faux and doesn't do anything and that the 21J GMT movement looks nothing like the gen (for obvious reasons!). Having got that out of the way, though, there's lots to like. The grey-ish brown dial (black is also available) is attractive and well-printed, with absolutely astounding lume - you really would think this has been re-lumed. The GMT function works as it should (the GMT hand is independently adjustable) and the CG is nice and tight. The croco print strap is better than average for rep straps - being a little stiff, but essentially of similar quality to BOB's (waccex.de) croco-print straps. It's eminently bearable, but worth the effort of replacing. The strap lugs are the standard K-series quick-release jobbies. Overall, great value for $149 and the usual flawless transaction with Robert. I'm really pleased with the watch Anyhow, here's a couple of lousy photos - sorry for the quality, but all I've got here today is flourescent lighting and a cheap compact. I'll try and take some better shots in decent light later.
KinCaidk 0 Posted October 27, 2010 Looks great, G...! Display caseback i assume?
greg_r 81 Posted October 27, 2010 Yep - my photo was pure blur-o-vision, however, so you'll need to visit Robert's listing for a caseback photo

greg_r 81 Posted October 27, 2010 47mm. Same size as a Fiddy - that photo makes it look larger than it is, actually - doesn't look that big in real life.

mondeov6 0 Posted October 27, 2010 Congrats Greg! Great looking watch. I really like the colour of the dial. Since I sold 6 of my "old" reps the other day I have some extra dough waiting to be invested i a couple of new PAMs (yes I have become a Pam addict ), this might be one of them. deja123 0 Posted October 27, 2010 ...no i meant at my equation the is a gmt hand too but i can´t find out how to set so i think it´s not working
greg_r 81 Posted October 27, 2010 oh - the 365. I think that's based on the same movement they used in the 233/270, so the GMT hand is going to be just a 24-hour hand only (i.e. non-adjustable).
prestigewatchco 2 Posted October 27, 2010 Yes that was the good thing about the 306 it was the 1st of the new style Panerai with a working GMT hand this and the 320 . 233/270/365 had fixed GMT hands

Aren 27 Posted October 27, 2010 Beautiful watch Greg. It looks really sleek for 47mm. This is why I find the wrist photos so valuable. I would not have imagined a 47mm could look so sleek. Nice purchase. Great watch. Wear it in good health and Congrats...
