Castiel 0 Posted October 27, 2014 Here we go, So after hours of night browsing of strap maker blogs, posts and pages, I said; "hey It cant be that hard to create your own strap, so go ahead!" Well I must say my assumption wasn't correct in a bit Its freaking long running job, however I still find it amusing and since I work in IT consultation even relaxing hobby. Enough of chitchat and for those who love shinny pictures here it is, first work and strap for "Bronzo". Please guys if you have any feedback I would love to hear and eventually learn from them:)

Castiel 0 Posted October 27, 2014 Very good in your first attempt ! and you will use it with proud as your own work . Yes, first attempt but I must say that it took me much longer than usual strap-maker spend on it. I've checked and rechecked every slice several times, since I did not wanted to ruin the leather. Thanks a lot
wolfpacker 94 Posted October 27, 2014 That is an incredible first attempt. I really like the thickness of the strap and it looks great mounted on that Bronzo.

Irishcain 0 Posted October 27, 2014 Very nice, keep going and we may be asking you to make straps for us. Looks great on the bronzo.
Helldiver 0 Posted October 28, 2014 (edited) Stitching are good but you found the perfect leather too! Way to go! (People don't realise the time spend for a strap - that's most of the price at the end) Edited October 28, 2014 by Helldiver
Simms 1 Posted October 28, 2014 That's a great looking strap for your first attempt! It looks even better coupled with that bronzo. Obviously your first try would have taken you a lot longer than somebody who is experienced but it will only get easier with each one you make. Congratulations
Odyseus 1 Posted October 28, 2014 I've always wondered what the cut out in the watch strap keeper is for??????
Castiel 0 Posted October 28, 2014 I've always wondered what the cut out in the watch strap keeper is for?????? For nothing, design point only. Its remark of the ammo straps, because each ammo pouch have a cutout and loop clasp so its used as a trademark of these types of strap. I made the strap from the similar material, It old vintage tool bag which have the same feature. I like the look of these keepers with cut so I used it
retromech 0 Posted October 29, 2014 Pretty good, mate! I especially like the details you put on the loops - that's a real plus! Good job!
