Akira 0 Posted October 29, 2010 Hi I want to buy a vintage Rolex, which Mary says fits an ETA movement. Since I want to vintage/mod it myself I don't want to risk beating up the more expensive ETA movement. If I buy the watch without movement can I fit an 21J in it? Thanks
Brightlight 0 Posted October 29, 2010 Not really. The dial feet are different, as are the hands
KBH 7 Posted October 29, 2010 I'd get an Eta clone movement unless you plan one keeping the 21j for good. It's possible but a lot of trouble to change from one to the other.
Brightlight 0 Posted October 29, 2010 Sorry, forgot to mention, the movement spacer is also different.
tissotman 0 Posted March 9, 2011 ive done it glued new dial feet on but this was on a non date submariner and also done it with a milgaus another consideration would be a 28,800 beats chinese movement as the feet are the same as 21 jewel and dial will fit direct on .
